So my internet went out around Sunday and it finally came back. And during that time, I started thinking about Yubel and Shugo. There isn’t really any depictions of their relationship, and it’s a little upsetting.
I can imagine them being almost like best friends when interacting without specific feelings coming into effect. And I am kinda fond of the idea that Shugo didn’t get semi-possessed until a short while after Yubel became a badass dragon. Therefore Yubel was the first to notice something changing about Shugo, but they didn’t really think anything bad about it. Brings good ideas for angst later on.
And I like the idea of Shugo fighting against the Light for the longest time before slowly giving in.

I made a messy little comic based on some headcanons I have with these three. Personally I feel like Yubel and Haou would have no problem doing anything to get Shugo to loosen up a bit. And Haou was a big flirt with Shugo, much to the latter’s confusion and Yubel’s dismay.

Okay Rivalship Healing Au

we all know no normal person is gonna convince seto to deal with his obvious depression and PTSD. But yugis not a normal person. But even with yugi it causes a lot of arguing. And probably results in some sort of competition that yugi has to win to get him to go. And he grumps through the first therapy session maybe even fires the first few. And honestly he doesn’t believe it helps even when he find someone he can tolerate.
So he gives up on it for a few years thinking that gosh maybe this is garbage. And then jaden starts having some rough nightmares. And they all three start losing sleep. And yugi starts getting worried about his family. So he tells seto he’s going to take jaden to see someone too and jaden throws a fit saying well if it doesn’t work for his dad why would it help him?
And that does it. Seto starts really going to therapy. He starts talking about his kid and that helps him open up about his relationship with his dad and how garbage it was. And he finally gets to break down about it and scream. And that day he comes home to his family and wraps them both in a huge hug.
And tells them that yeah hes terrible at expressing that he cares but hes trying. He doesn’t have anyone to model love after because he didnt grow up with it.
But he does. He really does. And they are important to him and he wants to make sure they know that.
And then they all get ice cream and sit there quietly until yugi taps the bottom of setos cone so he gets it all over his face and turns into a food fight and they all end up laughing on the ground.
